Old Folkie - Harry Chapin's tribute to Pete Seeger

At the age of 88, Pete Seeger's reputation as singer, songwriter and activist is well documented. The singing conscience of a nation for 60 years - even if that nation didn't want to listen - there are few causes that Seeger did not espouse, or sing about. The late Harry Chapin was, like Seeger, New York born and bred. He was not so much a writer of songs, but of short stories set to music. Like Seeger, he was a great humanitarian - raising money to combat world hunger long before other musical 'celebrities' thought of it.
